Carpenter and surveyor to alter ties of the feeder at Ebley in conformity with suggestion of Mr Marling under direction of Mr Cosham and Mr Wood.
Inspector to be appointed to superintend general management of canal. Post to be advertised in County papers.
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Monday the 29^th August 1836
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Jos Fisher, D^r Darke, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Stanton. M^r Wyatt, M^r Wood.
Ordered that M^r Cha^s Harrison be paid the Sum of One hundred pounds on account of his Bill, and the Residue when he shall have made the alterations & repairs in his Works under the direction of M^r Wood.
Ordered that the Carpenter & Surveyor do alter the Ties of the Feeder at Ebley in conformity with M^r Marlings suggestion, under the direction of M^R Cosham and M^r Wood.
Ordered That this meeting be adjourned to Tuesday Sep^t 6^th at 11 o'clock & then meet for the purpose of hiring some person as Lock-keeper at Dudbridge in place of -- Guy: & that Hoer & Burbidge (who have offered themselves for the place) have notice to attend.
Ordered That an Inspector be appointed, to superintend the general management of the Canal; & see that the inferior Servants perform their several duties, and that an advertisement be inserted in the County papers inviting persons to offer themselves for that Situation.
