At a S[ecial Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 6^th day of September 1836
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Eycott, M^r S Fisher, M^r Wyatt, D^r Darke, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Wood.
Odered That the following Bills and Account be paid, viz:
John Dimock: 6^£: 0^s..5^d
James Butt: ..2^s..0^d
Dam^l Hewlett: ..15^s..0^d
Ordered that John Burbidge be chosen as the Lock keeper at Dudbridge at the Wages of 12^s/- per Week in addition to the Dwelling house belonging to the office, when the Widow Guy shall quit the same.
Ordered That the payment of 1^s/- pre Week to … Nourse as Wharfinger at Dudbridge be discontinues from 30^th Instant, and notice thereof given to him.
It being considered That the present Wages of Harris, Lock-keeper at the Double Locks, ought to be reduced to the Sum of 12^s/ per Week: in addition to his Dwelling House: Ordered That notice be given him of the intended reduction, to take place from the Eighth day of October next.
Ordered that this Meeting be adjourned to Thursday the 15^th inst^t.
Ordered that application be made to M^r THo^s Wall Jnr for the immediate payment of the Rent arrear due to the Company.
