Summary

Samuel Critchley to put up fence at own expense to separate wharf at Chippenham Plat from highway for security of coals he lands there for sale. Proper gates with duplicate key for use of wharfinger. Access for use of traders generally. Samuel Critchley to leave house near wharf.
Clerk to apply to Messrs Charles Stephens & Co. for 1s, year’s rent for use of enclosed wharf at Ryeford.
Mr King to be applied for 1s for 2 years rent for land thrown into road to his mill at Ryeford.
Mr Joseph Clutterbuck to complete plan of Company’s land near Ryeford Mill and alterations made for Mr King.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 20^th day of October 1836
Present: M^r Wood, D^r Darke, M^r Cosham, M^r Wyatt, M^r S Fisher, M^r T C Croome, M^r P H Fisher, M^r F Eycott, M^r Jos Fisher.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
Samuel Cratchley having applied for leave to put up a fence to separate the Wharf at Chippenham's Platt from the Highway there, for security of the Coals which he lands there for sale:- the same to be done at his own expense, with a power for him to remove the same fence, whenever he shall cease to use the Wharf:-
Ordered that he be permitted to make the Fence on those Terms, provided the same be made in a line to be fixed by the Committee & proper Gates be set up with a Duplicate Key to be furnished by him for the use of the Lock Keeper & Wharfinger resident there, and due access be secured to and from the Wharf for the use of the Traders generally form landing and removing Goods there and thence: And provided Samuel Cratchley do quit the House he now resided in near the Wharf on the 25^th day of April next, otherwise the above permission to cease.
Ordered That the Clerk do apply to Mess^rs Charles Stephens & C^o for payment of 1^s being the Year's Rent due Michaelmas last for the use of the include Wharf at Ryeford, used by them.
Ordered that the like application be made to M^r King for 1^S being 2 years' Rent for the Land of this Company thrown into the Road to, and Canal of his Mill at Ryeford.
Orderd that M^r Joseph Clutterbuck be directed to completion with the plan drawn by him of the Companys Land near Ryeford Mill and the alterations made therein for the accommodation of M^r King and on his paying the above Rent
