Special Meeting. Thomas Perry claimed shares nos.72,188,152, will of James Perry.
Joseph Small’s amended estimate to include masonery and extended chain agreed, £130 (£125+£5).
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 11^th day of January 1838
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Jos Fisher, M^r S FIsher, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Holbrow.
M^r George Hawker of the Wharf in the parish of Painswick in the county of Gloucester Gentleman attended on the part of Thomas Perry of Wolverhampton in the County of Stafford Esquire, the Brother and the Sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of James Perry heretofore the .. late of Wolverhampton aforesaid Esquire deceased, and made out the claim of the said Thomas Perry to Three Shares, Numbered 72, 188 and 152, in the Undertaking called the Stroudwater Navigation standing in the name of the said James Perry deceased, by producing the Probate of the Last Will and Testament of the said James Perry deceased (the Will having date the first day of November 1804) under Seal of the prerogative of Canterbury bearing date the 10^th day of November 1837, And the Claim of the said Thomas Perry to the said three Shares was admitted accordingly.
Joseph Small having amended his estimate be requiring the Company to lengthen the Chain and to be at the expense of the Masonry, which he states to be around £5,
Ordered that he be offered £5 additional to the £125 mentioned in the Resolution of the last Committee, in case he will include the same in his Estimate.
