Thomas Hanman to frame pair of lower lock gates for Framilode lock for £12.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Wednesday the first of August 1838
Present: M^r Hughes, M^r Jos Fisher, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Croome, M^r H Beard.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
Charles Harrison having applied to be paid the residue of his Bill for work don near the Ocean in 1836 and reported that he had completed the flagging as originally proposed and required the Sum of One Pound for doing the same, being after the rate of his estimate for 20 feet (his former charge for the whole being under the Estimate more that 1^s/- per foot,
Ordered that he be paid the Sum of £19..3..8 being the residue of his Rate (£18.3.8) & one pound for the additional charge.
Ordered that Thomas Hanman be employed to frame the pair of lower Lock Gates intended for Framiloe Lock at the Sum of £12 according to his Estimate.
Ordered that the Committee go down the Canal on a Tour of Inspection the 29^th day of August inst^t to start from the Wharf at Walbridge at 8 o'clock a m .
