Summary

Annual inspection on the Company Barge.
Piling of banks of towing path between canal and brook near Ryeford Mill to be repaired.
Mr Mason to confer with Mr Denyer, Clerk of Thames & Severn Canal Co, on tonnage of slates in consequence of steps taken by Kennet & Avon Canal.
Westfield Lock to be repaired.
Mr Mason, estimates for house or shed of stone and timber for ice boat. He is to ask Mr Cambridge of Whitminster House to allow the Company to put ice boat into his boat house for safety.
Bristol Road Bridge to be repaired.
Wall or embankment of stone on bank of brook at Framilode where a slip occurred at last high flood.
Lock side walls at Bristol Road to be repaired and pointed.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on board the Companys Barge at Walbridge on Thursday the 7^th of July 1842
Present: M^r P H Fisher, M^r Beard, M^r Joseph Fisher, M^r Wyatt, M^r Hughes, M^r Stanton, M^r Cosham, M^r Holbrow, M^r Eycott.
Ordered that the piling of the bank of the Towing path between the Canal and the brook near Ryeforn Mills be repaired.
That M^r Mason do wait on M^r Denyer, the Clerk of the Thames and Severn Canal Company and confer with him as to the lowering of the Tonnage on that Canal, in relation to Slates and other things, in consequence of any steps which have been taken by the Kennet & Avon Canal in respect to their Tonnage and with a view to inquire whether any and what steps ought to be taken on the part of this Navigation with the same object.
That the Westfield Lock be repaired.
That M^r Mason do submit to the next Committee Meeting Estimates for building a house or shed of Ston & also of timber at the end of the Inlet now used for seasoning timber near the Dry docks, for the consideration of the Committee, wherein to put the Ice boat, which is also fitted up & accommodated for the use of the Committee; - and also that he do wait on M^r Cambridge of Whitminster House & ascertain whether he will permit this Company to put the Ice bat into his Boat House near the Whitminster feeder, for safety.
Ordered that the end of Bristol Road bridge be repaired.
Ordered that stone be procured and a wall or Embankment be made in the bank of the Brook adjoining (?) of this Company at Framilode where a slip has taken place by reason of the last high flood and in order to prevent further slips and to secure the Garden of the Cottage belonging to the Company.
Ordered that the Lock side Walls be repaired and pointed at the Bristol Road.
