At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Friday the 21st of April 1843
M^r Holbrow in the Chair.
The minutes of the last General Half Yearly was read and confirmed. The several books and accounts of the Company were produced as directed by the act of Parliament and were examined and confirmed.
It appears that the sum of £3354.0.11 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 14^th of Octover 1842 to the 31^st of March 1843. A part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursm^ts, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers hands after paying the last divident the sum of £2626.6.5.
[12£ Divid^d] Ordered that a Dividend of Twelve Pounds Ten shillings be paid on each Share by the Treasurer on the first day of May next and that our Clerk do transmit a Circular Letter to each proprietor to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same.
Ordered that the disputed ac^t between the Comp^y and M^r J George be referred to the Committee.
Ordered that the following Bills be paid:
An^w Wood for Bricks: £25.0.0
Tho^s Heel for Han^es: £2.0.0
The following Gentlemen ae appointed the Committee for the Ensuing year, viz:
