Summary

Annual inspection held on the Company Barge.
Lodgemore Bridge to be surveyed and stone and woodwork repaired.
Gas Works Bridge woodwork required repair.
Jas Smith of Cirencester brought more than 2000 tons of iron and timber for Bristol Extension Railway Company to Stonehouse. Minimum quantity for drawback of 6d per ton. Entitled to similar drawback on further quantity.
Every 1000 fire or black bricks to be estimated as weighing 1ton 10cwt. Every 1000 of other bricks estimated as weighing 25cwt.
Stonehouse Church swing bridge to be repaired.
Next generla meeting to be asked to allow rate of tonnage to be estimated at per mile.
When water in Bristol Road Level is let out for stream to pass through new aqueduct near Lockham Bridge, level to be cleansed of mud, silt and stone opposite Bristol Road Wharf, which should be new piled and planked.
Part of sea wall at Framilode near garden requires repair or a few tides will wash it away.
Bank of brook behind cottages needs a wall to keep it being washed away.
Part of enclosed garden ground at Framilode, now occupied by Mr Burbidge, to be divided into two parts and added to two cottages rented by William and James ?.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on board the Companys Barge at Walbridge, Thursday Augt 3rd 1843
Present: M^r Holbrow in the Chair, P H Fisher, George Wathen, Cosham, Jos F Fisher, Jno Holbrow.
[Repair Bridge] Memorandum
Lodgemore Bridge -- To be surveyed and the Stone and Woodwork require repair.
[do "] Gas Works -- Bridge woodwork requires repair.
It being reported that Ja^s Smith of Cirencester has brought up the Navigation more than 2000 tons of Iron and Timber for the Bristol-extention Railway Company to Stonehouse, being the _minimum_ quantity for which he was to have a drawback of 6^d per Ton for brining up, pursuant to the Resolution of the Committee 29h July 1842; _Ordered_ that the Drawback be allowed to him accordingly, on the quantity _already_ brought up; And that it is the opinion of this Committee, that under the said resolution, he is entitled to a similar drawback on any _further_ quantity to be brought up in performance of his Contract with the Railway Company or their contractors.
[Bricks weight] It is the opinion of this Committee that it would be expedient in regard to _Bricks_ carried on this Navigation, and not beyond, to make a regulation that every Thousand of Brick (technically known as Fire or black bricks) shall be estimated as of the weight of 1^Ton.10^Cwt and that every thousand of all _other Bricks_ shall be estimated as of the weight 25^Cwt and we recommend it to be taken into consideration at the next General Committee Meeting.
Ordered that Stonehouse Church Swing Bridge be repaired.
It is recommended that (in conformity with the Opinion of Counsel on the mode of charging Tonnage as to distance) that it be considered at the next General Committee to make a resolution that the rate of Tonnage be estimated at per Mile, and so rateably for any less quantity of a mile, not being less than ΒΌ of a mile.
[Repairs - Bristol R^d Wharf] _Ordered_ that when the Water in the Bristol Road Level shall be let out for the purpose of completing the passage of the Stream thro' the new aqueduct near Lockham Bridge, the Level shall be cleansed of the Mud, Silt, and Stone which has accumulated therein opposited the Bristol Road Wharf, and that the side of the Bristol Road Wharf be new piled and plank'd.
[Repair Sea Wall as at Cottages] Part of the Sea Wall at Framilode near the garden requires repair or a few tides will wash it away.
The Bank of the brook behind the Cottages, needs considerable repair by means of a wall to keep it from being washed away.
[Framilode Garden (?)] Order'd that the part of the enclosed Garden Ground on the Western side of the Navigation at Framilode, which is now occupied by Jn^o Burbidge, be divided into two parts and added to the 2 Cottages rented by William & James .... in addition to their present gardens as soon as the crops now on the Land shall be removed.
