At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on friday the 15th day of September 1843
Present: {In time 8/ & 6^d over] M^r Wyatt, M^r Hughes, M^r Jn^o Stanton, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Beard Chairman, M^r G Wathen, M^r Holbrow, M^r Jos F Fisher, M^r Martin, M^r Sam Fisher, M^r Cosham.
M^r Paul Hawkins Fisher of Stroud in the County of Gloucester attended on the part of David Jones of Stanley S^t Leonards in the County of Gloucester Clerk The Reverend John Colborne of Long Marston in the same County Clerk and Edward Cooper of Wooton under edge in the same County Esquire (?) & Executors named and appointed in and by the last Will and Testament of Caroline Mary Veel late of Stanley S^t Leonards aforesaid Spinster (deceased) and made out their Claim to one Share No 128 in the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Caroline Mary Veel in the Books of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Caroline Mary Veel bearing date the 27 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty one whereby the said Caroline Mary Veel appointed the said Reverend David Jones The Reverend John Colborne and Edward Cooper Executors of her said will and which will was proved by the said Executors in the prerogative of the Archbishop of Canterbury on the first day of June 1843 and by producing and leaving with the clerk a written authority under the hand of the said David Jones to the said Paul Hawker Fisher to make the Claim on their part and their Claim to the said Share is allowed accordingly.
Ordered that our Clerk at Framilode in making entries in the ticked do (as to Bricks) take the quantity by tale as well as the weight according to our regulations to that effect.
Ordered that the General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of this Navigation be held at the Committee Room Walbridge on the 27h day October next at 2 O'Clock in the afternoon and that the usual public notice thereof be inserted in the Gloucester papers.
