[1926 July] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 21^st day of July 1926 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: Jack Margetson, Henry R Hooper, W R Bloxam, R J C Little, J R Morton Ball., (Mr S S Marling).
Thames and Severn Canal, Abandonment
It was reported that £2..14..0 was standing to the credit of the Thames & Severn Canal Special Account.
Mr Whiting
It was decided to proceed with the action against Whiting in the County Court.
Dock Lock at Eastington
The new pair of bottom gates had been fixed.
Admiralty Tide Guage at Framilode
The Clerk had met the Officer of Works at Framilode. The drawings promised by him had not been received.
Canal Swing Bridge, Stonehouse
It was decided to accept Messrs Daniel's estimate for a new iron bridge at this place. Amount £163..-. To be in every respect exact to specification.
Whitminster Bridge
It was estimated by M^r Snape and Messrs Daniels that this Swing Bridge, when new, would have sustained a load of about 6 or 7 tons, with beams fixed (JM),
The Clerk was instructed to ask Messrs Daniel's for an estimate for an iron swing bridge to carry a load of five tons & to submit same to the Chairman for settlement.
West Gloucestershire Power C^o
The Agreement with the West Gloucestershire Power Co was produced and duly sealed, and signed by the Chairman and the Clerk.
The Clerk was authorised to pay George Cook the bonus for the three months ending 30^th June 1926.
Half-Yearly Accounts
The Accounts were examined by the Committee and explained by Mr Dudbridge who attended for that purpose.
It was decided to recommend that _No_ Dividend for the Half-Year ending 30^th June 1926 be paid.
Next Meeting
It was decided not to hold a meeting during August.
