[1927 June] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 15^th day of June 1927 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: Edward P Little, S S Marling, W R Bloxam, J R Morton Ball, R J C Little, F A Little, Jack Margetson.
Admiralty Tide Gauge, Framilode
Mr Bloxam having stated that he had lately been in correspondence with the Admiralty on the subject of the Agreement, the Committee approved the course taken, and resolved that a six months notice on either side be provided for in the Agreement.
Thames and Severn Canal: Abandonment
A letter was read from Mr Gardom of the 1^st June referring to the Lower Portion of the Thames & Severn Canal as follows:-
Shire Hall, Glocester
1^st June 1927.
Dear Sir,
Referring to your correspondence I am directed to inform you that, on the recommendation of the Thames & Severn Canal Committee, the County Council at their Meeting on the 23^rd May, decided to continue the present arrangements for keeping open the lower portion of the canal for a further period of twelve months as from the 25^th March last (subject to the Stroudwater Navigation Company collecting and paying to the County Council at least £600 being the amount that has been promised) and to postpone for the same period their application to the Ministry of Transport for a Warrant of Abandonment of this portion of the Canal.
