I enclose Receipt for £63..- the balance of £600..- collected by the Stroudwater Navigation toward the deficit of the Canal for the year ended March 1928.
I shall be glad to hear as to the final proposal for 1928/9.

Stroud Educational Foundation: Fence at Foundry Lock at Dudbridge
The Clerk was directed to convey to the tenant the substance of M^r Winterbothams letter of the 5^th July 1928 to the Company re fence at Foundry Lock at Dudbridge, and to inform M^r Winterbotham accordingly.
Wharf Premises at Bristol Road
The Agreement with M^r Spiers, the new tenant, was duly sealed and sighed by the Chairman and the Clerk.
Mrs Penn
The Clerk was directed to write to Mrs Penn and to inform her that if the £3..12..6 balance of rent due for March quarter is not paid by the September Meeting it was the intention of the Committee to proceed under the notice to quit already given.
Gloucestershire County Council - Highways Committee, Wallbridge Wharf
The County Council had agreed to the terms & conditions made by the Company.
West Gloucester Power C^o Ltd
A proposal to fly a cable over the Canal at Pike Bridge was agreed to.
The matter was put into the hands of the Companys Solicitors to deal with. Any costs to be met by the Power Company,
The Clerk was authorized to pay George Cook the bonus £3..- for three months ending June 1928.
An application by M^r Avery to rent or lease a part of Wallbridge Wharf was discussed. M^r Avery attended the Committee and explained his requirement on the spot. After further discussion the Committee directed the Clerk to write to M^r Avery that the Committee would let him the portion of Wharf at £35..- a year rent on a 21 years lease terminable at the end of 7 or 14 years on either side.
Half Yearly Accounts
The Accounts were examined by the Committee and explained by M^r Dudbridge who attended for that purpose.
It was decided to recommend that no Dividend for the Half Year ended 30^th June 1928 be paid.
Next Meeting
It was Ordered that the next Meeting be fixed for the 19^th September @ 3 o'clock pm.
