Summary

Towpath gates at Hilly Orchard put in order.
Government put in Public Telephone at Lock House (the Post Office) at Framilode.
Application from Messrs Copeland Chatterson & Co for permission for club employees to bathe in canal at Hilly Orchard. No objection under proper supervision and signed agreement.
Mr Margetson, Chairman since July 1922, resigned. He proposed, and Mr S S Marling seconded, Mr W R Bloxam to be elected Chairman of Company. Carried unanimously.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 25^th day of July 1929 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: J Margetson, W R Bloxam, Stanley Marling, R J C Little.
Thames & Severn Canal
1 It was reported that £19..9..0 was standing to the credit of the Thames & Severn Canal Special A/c.
2 That the receipt of the Companys letter re financial assistance 1929/30 had been acknowledged by M^r Gardom.
Stroud Gas C^o: Easement of pipe at Dudbridge
Mr Bloxam stated that the draft Agreement had been sent to the Gas C^o but no reply had been received.
Wharf House at Dudbridge: Agreement
M^r Perks had agreed to pay the costs in this matter.
Towing Path Gates at Hilly Orchard
A letter from M^r Marling was read.
The Clerk stated that the gates had been put in order.
Telephone at Lock-house Framilode
It was reported that the Government had put in a Public Telephone at the Lock-house (the Post Office).
Bathing in Canal at Hilly Orchard: Messrs Copeland Chattterson & C^o
An application was put in for permission for their Club employees to bathe in the Canal at Hilly Orchard. The Committee had no objection to this under proper supervision & subject to an agreement being signed.
The Clerk was directed to reply accordingly.
Election of Chairman
The Chairman Mr Margetson in resigning the position he had held since July 1922 thanked the Committee for the support and consideration he had always received from it. M^r Margetson then proposed and Mr S S Marling seconded that Mr W R Bloxam be elected Chairman of the Company. The proposal was unaminously carried and & M^r Bloxam kindly consented to accept the position.
