It was reported that £193..9..6 was standing to the credit of the Thames & Severn Canal Special A/c.
It was Resolved to draw a Cheque for £75..- in favour of the Thames & Severn Canal Special Account (completing the Companys contribution in this direction for the year ending March 1929). It was Resolved that a Cheque be drawn on the A/c, for £250, in favour of the Gloucestershire County Council, balance of £550 the Company had promised to try and collect for the year ended 31^st March 1929.
Financial Assistance 1929/30 - Thames & Severn Canal
The Clerk was instructed to write the following letter to the Gloucestershire County Council:
[Letter to the Glos C C re T&S Canal 1929/30] We are now in a position to report the result of our appeal to the Public Bodies and Traders for the support towards the upkeep of the Thames & Severn Canal for the year ending March 31 1930. Unfortunately the amount we hope to collect is considerably less than last year, viz: £350 instead of £550. This drop is almost entirely accounted for they the decision of the Sharpness Dock C^o not to contribute for a further period the sum of £150 which has been forthcoming in the past.
Wharf at Wallbrdige
The Clerk reported that Mr Smith had paid the Wharfage charge of £5..5..1.
Stroud Gas C^o re pipe at Dudbridge
Mr Bloxam reported that the Stroud Gas C^o had agreed to the Companies terms & conditions.
Wharf-house at Dudbridge
The Committee agreed to the transfer of the tenancy of the Wharf-house at Dudbridge to M^r John Perks subject to a new Agreement to be prepared by the Company's Solicitors on the usual terms.
