Become a Volunteer

The Stroudwater History Team would welcome more help in developing this website. Volunteers can help us by:

1) Checking the content of the website for errors and omissions and providing feedback on the site contents
2) Recording the Verbatim Text of Letters, Tonnage Books, and other documents loaded onto the website
3) Writing stories based on material available in the Archives
4) Undertaking in-depth studies of a particular subject or place
5) Helping to develop outreach material for schools and other organisations
6) Telling people the story of the Stroudwater Navigation at events and meetings.

Much of this work can be done at home using the World Wide Web, but there are also opporunities for exploring the Stroudwater Navigation's archives at Gloucester's Heritage Hub to identify further relevant material that would benefit from being put online.

To find out more contact volunteering@stroudwaterhistory.org.uk.

This website and its content would not exist were it not for the effort of volunteers who have come together under the umbrella of the Stroudwater Navigation Archive Charity (SNAC).
