Mr Sikes reported that Mr Kimberley and Mr Partridge could not agree to restrictive terms of drawback offered to Thames & Severn Canal Co.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Thursday the 23rd day of April 1846
M^R Jn^o Holbrow in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last General Half Yearly Meeting were read and confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced as directed by the Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appears that the sum of £3091..4.. has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 30th day of September last to teh 31st day of March 1846 a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursements, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurer's hands after paying the last Divident the sum of £2538..9..3.
Ordered that a Dividend of £12..10 on each Share be declared.
M^r Willson's Proposal of the 24th January with regard to the Alterations of Tonnages having been read.
Resolved that the following Gentleman Viz: M^r Holbrow, M^r Warman, M^r Fryer and M^r Wood or any three of them do form a Deputation to meet the Committee of the Thames and Severn Canal Company to confer on the subject.
Ordered that M^r Hawker do communicate to M^r Willson ther purport of the above resolution.
M^r Sikes communicated to the Meeting that he had seen M^r Kimberly and M^r Partridge with reference to a Drawback proposed to be allowed by the Thames and Severn Canal Company on Grain, Corn, Salt and Iron stipulating that such Drawback would not be allowed unless 500 Tons were brought up and down within six months and that these Gentlemen could not acceded to such restrictive terms.
Ordered that M^r Hawker do communicate to M^r Willson the above matter.
Proposed by M^r Wood and seconded by M^r Beard,
That the Committee for the ensuing year do consist of 10 Members and the following Gentlemen were accordingly chosen:
M^r G H Beard, M^r Geo Wathen, Fred Eycott, W^m Jn^o Wood, W^m Fryer, Dan Watts, Jn^o Holbrow, Hen^y Wyatt, Rich^d Martin, Jn^o H Warman.
