Special Meeting. Committee of Thames & Severn Canal Co attended. Further consideration necessary. Stroud Navigation Committee considered 100 yards above first milestone on T&S Canal should be boundary of all restrictions. Thames & Severn have objection unless Lodgemore introduced into first clause.
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee at Wallbridge on Thursday the 30th day of July 1846
Present: M^r Geo Wathen, Dan^l Watts, G H A Beard, Hen^y Wyatt, Jn^o Holbrow Chairman, W^m J Wood.
The Committee of the Thames and Severn Canal Company attended with a view of carrying into effect the proposal with regard to an alteration in the charges of Tonnage as submitted by M^r Willson in his letter dated July 24th Ins^t.
No definitive arrangement arrangement was agreed upon and further consideration was thought necessary on the part of both Committees.
The Stroudwater Navigation Committee considered that One hundred yards above the first Mile Stone on the Thames and Severn Canal should be the Boundary of all restrictions.
The Thames and Severn Canal Committee objected to the proposal unless Lodgemore was introduced into the first clause.
