Committee found balance in Treasurer's hands smaller than expected, so request for interest be relinquished.
Notice given to Mr Sherwood to quit Company's service at end of three months from 25 September.
Front part of ground floor of warehouse adjoining Ship Inn to be partitioned off from cellar and allotted to Mr Biddle. Doorway communicating with Ship Inn to be walled up and other doorway and back kitchen to be widened and an open shed erected between back kitchen window to unite with the present shed.
Mr Sherwood to bring summary book for Mr Cooper's examination.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Monday October 19th 1846
Present: M^r Dan^l Watts, Rich^d Martin, Will^m Fryer, Jn^o H Warman, Jn^o Holbrow Chairman, Fred^k Eycott, Hen^y Wyatt, Geo Wathen, G H A Beard, W^m Jn^o Wood.
In reference to the Resolution of July 20th last relative to an allowance of 2½ per Ct on the Average balance of Money on our Treasurers Hands, the Committee finding the balance smaller than they expected,
Resolved that the Matter be relinquished.
M^r Wathen reported that Notice had been duly given on the 25th Sept last to M^r Sherwood to quit the Company's Service at the end of Three calender Months from the service of that Notice on the 25th September.
With reference to the Wallbridge Crane M^r Martin undertook to make enquiries respecting the price, etc.
M^r Sherwood reported that the floor at the Dock had not been repaired, or the Step Ladder made.
The Books and Accounts of the Company were exhibited and the Auditor reported that he had examined them and found them correct.
M^r Biddle having applied for more accommodation on Wallbridge Wharf.
Ordered That the front part of the ground floor of the Warehouse adjoining the Ship Inn now partitioned off from the Cellar be allotted to him and that the Doorway communicating with the Cellar and the Back kitchen be widened and an open Shed erected between the Back kitchen window to unite with the present Shed and that it be undertaken immediately and the Old Shed be repaired.
M^r Sherwood not having brought his Summary book,
Ordered that he do bring it on friday next at 11 O'Clock for M^r Cooper's examination.
A Letter was read frm M^r Jn^o George the subject of which was referred to the General Half yearly Meeting on friday next.
