An Estimate of the expence to make the intended Navigation from the Town of Stroud water in the County of Gloucester to the River Severn near Framiload in the said County. Survey'd June y^e 23^rd 1774 by Predey & Dadford.
To Cutting that part of the Navigation that will go from the Course of the Brook, being in Length Seven Miles and five furlongs, or thereabouts, the Width of the said Cutting at top Water 42 feet the Depth Six feet and Slope as four to three: 5236^£..0^s..0^d.
To forty five Acres of Land to be taken for the use of D^o at 60^£: 2700.0..0.
To Clearing and making wider that part of the Stroud River whereon the Navigation is proposed to go, being in Length 74 Chains, or thereabout: 244..4..0.
To twenty one Road, and five foot, Bridges: 1735..0..0.
To three Aqueducts and three Culverts to Convey the Water under the Canal part of the work: 180..0..0
To the several regulating Basons at the Locks &. Wears: 180..0..0.
To Stop Gates, Wicketts and Stiles: 95..7..6.
To temporary Damages to Lands, etc, and unforeseen Accidents: 550..0..0.
