Report of fourth meeting of Commissioner

Cainscross 13th June 1782
We whose names are hereunto subscribed being Commissioners nominated and appointed in and by an Act of Parliament passed in the Sixteenth year of the reign of his present Majesty for making the Stroudwater navigation being mett at the Golden Cross at Cainscross in the parish of Randwick in the county of Glocester in persuance of our last adjounment and an advertisement in the Gloucester Journal for the purpose.
Whereas a Jury was summoned by virtue of our warrant for that purpose and whereas the Company of Proprietors of the said navigation having challenged eighteen of the said Jury and there being not a sifficient number to serve thereon, We therefore by the authority in us vested have again issued out our warrant under our hand and seals to the Sheriff of the County of Glocester to impannel summon and return a Jury to appear before the said commissioners on Thursday the fourt of July next at eight of the clock in the forenoon at the dwelling house of William Turner known by the name or sign of the George Inn in the town of Stroud in the said county.
Adjourned the meeting to Thursday the fourth of July next at the George in Stroud aforementioned, and the same is hereby accordingly adjourned.
