London, Midland & Scottish Railway Co. proposed purchase of portion of Navigation’s Mud Deposit Tip at Stonehouse. Railway Company offered ten pounds for land coloured red on plan. Navigation willing to sell. £107 for whole piece in 1890. Prepared to accept £25 for about one fifth of it. Railway Company to pay cost.
