Mr Bough to finish first lock at Chippenham Platt at a charge of 21s per 1000 bricks, but is to receive 24s per 1000 for next four locks and the bridge.
Completed locks and bridges to be measured and settled for, and stone lying on wharves to be measured and valued.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 26^th Day of June 1777
Present: Joseph Wathen, John Hollings, James Winchcombe, Thomas White, Thomas Baylis, Benjamin Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Reported that M^r Lingard had been to Farmer Stephenses and View'd the remainder of his Bricks, and that he did not believe there were more than about 300 that remained there.
M^r Grazebrook Reported that he had been to M^r W^m Price and had a Bill of what Timber he has delivered, and he promised to deliver Timber for another Lock in a fortnight or three weeks.
M^r Phllips's Land not being mow'd must deferr the consideration to a future day.
M^r W^m Clutterbucks Land not yet paid for, not having his Acc^t.
The Basketts are procured for measuring the Coals.
The Table expressing the Clauses in the Act, to be prepared soon as can be done.
M^r Deagues Account not yet Settled.
Received a Letter from M^r Vizard relating to the trespass on a Field of Peas belonging to M^r Nathaniel Davis; it appears on enquiry (which may be proved by Joseph Tooth) that the Cattle went thro' the mound belonging to M^r Chambers. ~~ Ordered that M^r Grazebrook do waite on M^r Stephens and inform him the true state of the matter.
Received a Proposal from Ew^d Keene for finding Timber and Workmanship for Building a Swivell Bridge on the same Plan as that at Framiload for the Sum of £67,,16. ~~ And also to make, Hang, and compleat the Lock Gates, Platt, former, etc (the Company finding Timber) for one Shilling per foot Supperficial. ~~ The said proposal to be considered off.
Ordered that M^r Lingard do give directions to have the Stone removed from off the Toeing Path that lies near the Bristol Road. Ordered that M^r Lingard do have the Sand Collected together that lies about the Bridge at the Bristol Road, to prevent it being wasted.
Ordered that M^r Bough do prepare a plan and Scale for Pileing and Walling, to Secure the Framiload Lock against the next Meeting.
Ordered that Mess^rs Grazebrook and Bough do take an Acc^t of the work of the Culvert at Walbridge and of the number of bricks used in the same, and that the Account be discharged.
Ordered that M^r Colborne be desired to write to M^r Nathaniel Davis to return the Planks belonging to the Company, that he has used for fencing his Lands.
Ordered at the next Meeting that the Rev^d M^r Pettat be desired to meet the Committee in Stonehouse Church Yard to point out the line of the Canal.
Agreed with M^r Bough that he do finish the first Lock at Chippenhams Platt to find Brick, Workmanship and all Materials at 21^s per Thousand, the next four locks, bridges and all other work at 24s per thousand, Lime and every thing included. ~~ To find all the Stone (Lime, Land, Labour, and Workmanship compleat) at 10^d per foot Superficial. Extra Labour to each Lock £24.
Ordered that the work of the former Locks and Bridges be measured and Settled up to this time, and that an Account be taken of the Stone that lies on the Sundry Wharfs and place, measured and valued. ~~ And that an Article be drawn as soon as possible by M^r Colborne between the Company and M^r Bough to allow the Company 12^s per Thousand for the Brick. The Company to find the freight and Carriage of the Stone, M^r Bough to pay for the Loading and unloading the same. The Company to Allow M^r Bough for Punning every Arch#d Bridge £3,,3 and for every Swivell Bridge £2..2.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Four Hundred Pounds.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 10^th Day of July at four o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
