At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 28^th of October 1779
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Ben^m Grazebrook, Thomas White, Richard Bigland.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Ordered that Posts and Railes be imediately put to secure the Road leading to the Bridge at Ryford, on the side next Thomas Hitchs House.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do Sett about putting in the Trunks at Whitmister Mill Pond on Monday next.
Ordered that Application be made to M^r John Butcher for the Purchase of as much of his Orchard at Cainscross as will be necessary for the purposes of erecting a Warehouse and making a Road to the Wharf, as shall be staked out by this Committee.
Ordered that our Clerk do waite on Tho^s Pettat Esq^r to inform him that we are ready at any time to Comply with the orders of the Commissioners relative to the Land of M^r Holliday Phillips, in case he and M^r Sandford approve of being Nominal Trustees for the money when Paid into the Funds.
Ordered that all Orders of the Committee be carried into Execution within Seven Days of the time such Order is made.
Ordered that our Clerk do make application to M^r Ballard to settle for the Waggon & Horses sold him by the Company.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 18^th of November next at Five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
