Mr Knight agreed costs of Chancery suit should go to arbitration. Payment to Company for surplus land and rent for same.

Thomas Pierce, William Osborne and Thomas Cooper claimed shares nos.31,32,33,34,35,192, wills of Nathaniel Peach and Samuel Peach.
William Capel, John Hawker and Richard White claimed shares nos.62,63,64,65,66,67,196, will of Thomas White.
Clerk to fix company seal to conveyance of land at Ryeford to Mr John Hollings, also that for the sale of the meadow late Baxters and corner piece late Mr Phillips's to Mr B Grazebrook.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held by adjournment at the George Inn at Stroud on Tuesday the 21^st of February 1786
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Ben^n Grazebrook, Nathaniel Winchcombe.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Reported in consequence of M^r Winchcombe waiting upon M^r Knight that he has agree'd to settle the matter in difference by leaving the Costs of the Chancery suit to arbitration, and Bonds of award are accordingly executed by the Committee and M^r Knight for that purpose. M^r Knight will also pay the Company for the Surplus Land taken by him in exchanged together with a Rent for the same. Ordered that our Clerk do furnish M^r Gardiner with an abstract of the Companys Title, to enable him to make a Conveyance of the said Land to M^r Knight.
Our Clerk Reported that the Bank in the Meadow at Walbridge is now levelling.
M^r John Colborne attended on behalf of the Executors of Samuel Peach Esq^r who survived W^m Gaisford Peach Eaq^r the Residuary Legatee and Executors of Nathaniel Peach Esq^r deceased to make out their Claims to Six Shares No 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 & 195 ~~ in the Stroudwater Navigation late the property of the said Nathaniel Peach deceased and to which Shares the said Samuel Peach became Intitled as being the Surviving Executor of the said Nathaniel Peach and produced an attested Copy of the Will and Codicil of the said Samuel Peach, the Wil bearing the date the 30^th of November 1781, and the Codicil bearing date the 7^th of May 1785 Wherby it appears by the said Will and Codicil That Thomas Pierce William Osborne and Thomas Cooper are the residuary Legatees and appointed Joint Executors of he said Will for the Trusts therein mentioned as appears by the said Will and Codicil proved in the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Cantebury by the said Thomas Pierce and Thomas Cooper two of the said Executors And the said Claims are hereby admitted accordingly.
M^r John Colborne likewise attended on behalf of the Executors of Thomas White deceased to make out their Claims to Seven Shares No 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 & 196 ~~ in the Stroudwater Navigation late the property of the said Thomas White and reported that he had seen the Probate of the Will of the said Thomas White bearing the date of the 25 May 1785 and proved the 17 November 1785 in the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Cantebury by his Executors whereby the said Thomas White devised the residium of his Personal Estate to William Capel John Hawker and Richard White upon the Trusts therein mentioned and appointed the said W^m Capel John Hawker and Richard White Joint Executors thereof And the said Claim is hereby admitted accordingly.
Ordered that our Clerk do affix the Company Seal to the Conveyance of the corner piece of Land at Ryford to M^r John Hollings also to the Conveyance of the Meadow late Baxters and the corner piece late M^r Phillips to M^r B. Grazebook.
Rece'd a letter from M^r John Jepson (by direction of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal Company) requesting our aid in opposing the intended Worcester Canal. Ordered that our Clerk do inform him that the same will be taken into consideration at the next General Meeting.
Ordered that M^r W^m Franklin do proceed to Repair the Sone & Brick Work of the Locks, etc, on the Navigation as soon as the Season will permit.
Adjourned this Meeting to Monday the 10^th of April next at five O'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
