At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 10^th day of February 1863
Present: M^r J H Warman, M^r C H Fisher Chairman, C Hawker, H^y Harris, G H A Beard, H H Wilton.
The subject of the proposed Railway from Nailsworth to Stonehouse was taken into consideration and it was resolved that a Petition be presented to Parliament praying to be heard by Counsel against the Bill and that the Solicitor be instructed to prepare and get such Petition presented and that the common Seal of the Company be affixed thereto.
Ordered that a Gratuity of £3..-..- be given to J Clark an old Servant of the Company for upwards of thirty years as he is now disabled from much exertion by a recent long and severe fit of illness.
