Mr Smart paid tonnage in full.
Mr Jefferies paid 5s Rent.
S Harris of Bristol Road Wharf would not pay any part for proposed new stable. Stable not to be built.
Mr James Webb had not infringed agreement between Company and Thames and Severn Canal Co on division of tonnage.
Mr J K Long, Mr Bengough’s agent, applied for some tithe rent charge on canal property in parish of Wheatenhurst.
Some piling of towing path at Ryeford ordered. Stroud Gas Co.’s liability considered.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 23^rd August at 3,o,clock pm

[11] The Clerk reported that Mr Smart had paid his tonnage a/c in full, & that Mr Jefferies had [31] paid the 5/ rent for use of towing path at Ebley, also that E Harris of the Bristol Road Wharf [7] having intimated that he would not pay any rent for the proposed new stable it was resolved that the same should not be built.
[44] Mr Hamilton Mills stated that the taking of Coal by Mr James Webb from the Grt Western Railway Station at Stroud and thence by water on the Thames & Severn Canal to his brick yard near the Hope Mill was not an infringement of the agreement between this Company & the Thames & Severn Canal Navigation as to the division of tonnages on Coal between Stroud & Brimscombe.
[31] Mr J K Long, Mr Bengough's agent having applied for some tithe rent charge in respect of the Canal property in the parish of Wheatenhurst.
The Clerk was instructed to ask for particulars.
[7] Some piling of the Towing Path at Ryeford was ordered to be done & the Stroud Gas Company's liability for same was considered.
