Summary

Mr Arkell, farmer of Downfield, attended with respect to his taking water from canal and gave his explanation for same.
Mr Harper, builder, of Dudbridge should have applied to Committee for sanction before before taking water from canal near Bond’s Mill for building purposes. No charge so long as he continued to take his bricks from Dudbridge to Bond’s Mill by canal.
Mr James Smart’s claim for draw back on iron pipes brought up canal to be reconsidered when contract with water works company completed.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 18^th day of October 1887 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills, Mr G H A Beard, Mr C H Hooper, Mr E F Gyde, Mr E P Little, Sir W^m Hy Marling Bart.
The various accounts, books & vouchers signed by Mr F Sturge the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced and passed.
The Treasurers Book was produced examined and signed by the Chairman.
[50] Mr Arkell, Farmer at Downfield attended with respect to his taking water from the Canal and gave his explanation for the same.
[50] The Clerk was directed to write to Mr Harper Builder of Dudbridge who was taking water from the Canal near Bond's Mill, for building purposes stating that he should have applied to the Committee for their sanction before doing so, and the Committee decided that no charge should be made so long as he continued to take his bricks from Dudbridge to Bond's Mill Bridge by Canal.
[15] Mr James Smart attended with reference to his claim for a drawback upon iron pipes brought up the Canal and the matter having been discussed it was determined that the claim should be reconsidered, when his Contract with the water works Co was completed.
