The Ship Inn -- The seal of the Company was attached to the Lease of Mr Chapman of this Property, and Mr Martin Ball informed the Committee that Messrs Holmes & Co would accept £3 in respect to their claim and a cheque was drawn accordingly for this sum/
A letter was read from the Gloucster & Berkley Canal requesting the shearing down of the bank of the River Frome between the Junction and Saul and the Clerk was directed to see whether the work could be done by the Workmen of our Company.
The Clerk was requested to see Mr Gillman of the Stroud Brewery Company and arrange for the repairs of the inside of the Ship Inn, according to the agreement upon the termination of that Company's tenancy at Michaelmas.
No application having been made for the letting of the house and premises at Dudbridge wharf, directions were given for advertising in the Gloucester and Stroud papers.
A discussion took place regarding the extraordinary repairs incurred in re-lining the Lock Sides at the Bristol Road Lock, when it was determined (having regard to the fact that the Bank interest upon the reserve fund had from time been placed to the Credit of that fund) that a sum of £60 should be drawn from the reserve fund in aid of such repairs.
Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held at Tuesday the 20^th day of October next at 3,o,clock pm and the General Half-yearly Meeting on the same day at 3.30pm.
