Mr Harper paid 2s 6d charge for taking water from canal.
Stroud Urban District Council renewed requirement that Company should connect Ship Inn with mains.
Messrs Clark of Brimscombe offered use of a steam launch for annual inspection, cost only of man in charge and coal. Accepted.
Telephone Co to pay 5s p.a. for wire crossing canal, not 1s they proposed.
Mr Payne of Stroud Gas Co asked to attend next meeting to discuss charge for Company’s pipes under towing path.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 16^th June 1896 at 3 o'clock pm
Present: Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Mr W Davies, Mr H H Mills Solicitor, Mr E P Little, Mr S S Marling, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr A B Hooper, Mr W J Stanton.
The Clerk reported having seen Messrs Wood & Rowe as directed at the last Meeting of the Committee but had been unable to learn more than stated in their last letter.
He reported that Mr Harper had paid the 2.6 charge for taking Water from the Canal.
The Stroud Urban District Council having reviewed their requirement that this Company should connect the Ship Inn with their mains, it was considered that the Company had already done what was required within the limits of their property, and that the matter might stand over until the Council bring their mains on for connection.
The Annual Inspection was fixed for Tuesday June 23^rd and Messrs Clark & C^o of Brimscombe having been good enough to offer the use of one of their Thames launches for the purpose, at the cost only of men in charge and coal, the Clerk was directed to accept such offer with the Committee's thanks.
The Telephone C^o having proposed to pay only 1/- per year for the crossing of their wire over the Company's property, the Clerk was instructed to inform the manager that their charge of 5/- is a uniform one and will be required.
The Clerk was directed to see Mr Payne of the Stroud Gas C^o and ask him to attend the next Meeting of the Committee furnished with particulars as to the charge for the Company's pipes under the towing path.
