[1905 Sept] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 20^th day of September 1905 @ 4.15 o'clock pm
Present: Mr C H Hooper, Chairman, Mr P J Evans, Mr W J Stanton, Mr W Davies, Mr S S Marling, Mr F A Little, Mr Whittingham, Solicitor in attendance.
[Mr Grey Robinson's bridge over Canal at Whitminster] The Clerk reported the completion by Mr Grey Robinson, of the repairs to his bridge over the Canal at Whitminster, as to which he had been allowed to have Mr Snape's advice.
[Wheatenhurst RDC re Eastington Bridge] A letter from the Clerk of the Wheatenhurst Rural District Council was read, acknowledging the letter and plan forwarded to him by Mr Snape, on the subject of improvement of Eastington Bridge.
[Stroud RDC Gateway at Ebley] The Clerk was directed to remind the Clerk of the Stroud Rural District Council of the matter of the gateway to the Sewage tanks at Ebley, also of the 1^s/- p annum, due June last for the ventilating shaft at Dudbridge.
[Mr W J Acton re Rent] Mr W J Acton, tenant of the Dudbridge Wharf House, having failed of his promises to pay Rent, - arrears being now £3..14..6, the matter was placed in the hands of the Company's Solicitors, to recover the amount.
[Bye-laws] Mr Whittingham reported to the Committee the progress of the new Bye-laws, which had met with no objections within the Statutory period, and printed copies of them were sealed and signed in duplicate by the Chairman and Clerk, by direction of the Committee to be forwarded to the Board of Trade, thus:- The Common Seal of the Stroudwater Navigation Company was hereunto affixed in the presence of Charles H Hooper, Chairman, W^m Jas Snape, Clerk. [Next Committee Meeting] Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on the 25^th day of October next, @ 4.15pm, and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4.45pm.
