[1936 Dec] Committee held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of December 1936 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, Marcus Stewart.
Only three Members of the Committee being present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Whitminster Wharf
Several applications to rent the premises at Whitminster were considered. It was decided to accept M^r Wilkins at £20..- per year provided that M^R Dowdeswell his guarantor would enter into agreement with the Company.
Oil Mills Bridge
The Clerk reported that M^r Hopson had repaired the surface of the road over the bridge and that the work was satisfactory.
Wallbridge Wharf, M^r Hopson
A letter from M^r Hopson was read, after discussion the Committee decided it could not see its way to altering its previous decision.
Dudbridge Wharf, M^r Vines
The Chairman explained the Solicitors opinion in this matters when it was decided that no further action be taken.
Wharf House at Eastington
The Clerk reported that the roof of the lean to had been repaired and that a new boiler had been fixed in the wash house.
Messrs Copeland Chatterson & Coy Ltd
The Clerk reported that notice had been given to Messrs Copeland Chatterson & CO to effectively close up the gateway leading from their premises to the towing path near Dudbridge Lock. The Committee decided to grant them permission to open a gateway to the towing path from their allotment gardens in the Foundry Pound at Dudbridge on payment of 5/- per year rent in advance as from the 1^st January 1937 subject to the Companys Agreement being signed.
Stonhouse Wharf, Fencing
The Clerk reported that the London Midland & Scottish Railway C^o had given notice of its intention to erect fencing on the line boundary agreed on in 1885.
Wallbridge Wharf, Mr Fry
The Committee granted permission to M^R Fry to use the Wharf road so long as he is tenant of the garage and subject to notice by the Company at any time.
