Summary

Agreement signed by Redler Patents re gate to gardens in Foundry Pound at Dudbridge.
4 estimates having been obtained for repair of the Committee Room and Hall of Canal House, Wallbridge, that of S Hopson was accepted.
Company’s men to carry out repairs needed to Double Locks Cottage.
Mr Welsh of Haywards Field, Stonehouse, denied permission to ride bike on towpath. Also informed that Company could not supply information as to the construction of the canal.

[1937 March] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of March 1937 at 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, R J C Little, Marcus Stewart.
There being only four members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Messrs Redler Patents, Gate at Dudbridge
It was reported that an Agreement had been prepared and sent to Messrs Redler.
Fencing and Stonehouse, L M & S Railway Coy
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had bee written to the Railway Company.
Dock House at Eastington, Repairs
The Clerk reported that the material had been ordered.
Housing Acts, Stroud R D C Notice re Double Locks Cottage
The Clerk reported that the ticket attached to the Notice had been handed to the tenant.
Investments, L & N E R R C^o7 4% 2^nd Preference Stock
It was reported that a Dividend had been received by the Company's Bankers amounting to (less tax) £2..2..10.
Stonehouse Wharf, M^r Baker
The Clerk reported that M^r Baker had paid all rent due as on the 25^th December last, amounting to £4..0..0,
Canal House, Wallbridge, Repair to Committee Room & Hall
Estimates obtained from H Smith £19..13..7, Baxter & Sons, £14..7..0, S Hopson £11..13..0, Sutton & Sons £10..12..6.
The Committee decided to accept the Estimate of S Hopson.
Double Locks Cottage
The Clerk produced his report on the state of repair of this Cottage and his estimate for material was £1..14..6. The Committee decided that the work should be carried out by the Company's men.
Canal
A letter from M^r J Welsh of Haywards field, Stonehouse, asking for permission to ride a bicycle on the towing path and for information as to the construction of the Canal.
The Committee instructed the Clerk to reply that it was not the practice of the Company to grant such permits and could not supply information asked for.
