Summary

Mr Samuel Withey applied for compensation for damages to his land in passing to feeder at Lodgemoor. Offer to continue at rent of 1s per annum. 8s paid to him and in future 1s per annum. Company to make use of road over his land at Gannicox to feeder.
Dock at Chippenham Platt let to Philip Woore for £30 per annum. Company reserve right to put boats in dock at any time for repairs and planks in shed, without paying for use. Tenancy subject to 3 calendar months.
Clerk to write to Messrs Maclean Stephens and Co. for payment of repairs to bridges at Ryeford.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Wednesday the 17^th Oct^r 1833
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Jos Fisher, M^r Wood, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Eycott, M^r T C Croome, M^r Croome.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
M^r James WIthey having applied to the Clerk for a Compensation for Damages done to his Land in passing to the Feeder at Lodgemore and having offered to contineue the accommodation at a Rent of One Shilling per Annum,
Ordered that a Compensation of Eight Shillings be paid him for the use during the past Eight Years and that he be paid in future One Shilling per Annum to commence from Michaelmas last as long as he allows the Company to make use of the Road over his said Land at Gannicox to the said feeder.
Ordered that the Dock at Chippenham Splat shall be let to Philip Moore from this Day at the annual Rent of Thirty Pounds payable by quarterly payments. The Company to reserve a right to put their Boats in the Dock at any Time for the purpose of Repairs without paying for the use of it, and to put their planks in the shed over without Payment. The Tenancy to be subject to be put an end to at the end of Three Calendar Months that is to say, on the Seventeenth Day of October, the Seventeenth Day of January, the Seventeenth Day of April or the Seventeenth Day of July in any year by one party giving the other three months notice.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to Mess^rs Maclean Stephens & C^o to ask for Payment of the Sum agreed to be paid by them in part of the Repairs done to the Bridges at the Ryeford.
