Gates erected on towing path near Messrs Marling’s mills to be removed until further order.
Mr Clutterbuck of Dudbridge complained of trespass of Messrs Marling’s work people. Clerk to acknowledge letter and talk to Messrs Marling on the subject.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Thursday the 28^th day of October 1841
M^r J Wood Esq^re in the Chair.
The minutes of the last General Meeting were read and confirmed. The several Books & Accounts of the Company were produced as directed (by Act of Parliament) and were examined and confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £3740..5..5 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 12^th day of April to the 11^th Day of October 1841 a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, disbursments, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers Hands (after payment of the last Dividend) the Sum of £2757..18..8.
Ordered that a Dividend of Thirteen pound & ten shillings be paid on each Share by the Treasurer on the first Day of November next, and that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurer or apply to Him for payment of the same.
Ordered, That the Resolution of the Committee meeting of the 24^th of June last for erecting the towing path gates near Mess^rs Marling's Mill be suspended for the present & the posts put up be forthwith removed until further order.

M^r Clutterbuck of Dudbridge having made complaint of Trespass of M^r Marling;s work people going to & from the Mills, ordered that our Clerk do acknowledge the receipt of the letter & communicate with Mess^rs Marling on the Subject.
