Summary

Special Meeting. Mr Elisha Oldham, contractor for erection of railway bridge over Navigation at Stonehouse, having erected temporary bridge applied to Committee to sanction same. No objection made until some inconvenience sustained.
A cape to be provided for lock keeper at Double Locks to protect him from weather.
Opinions of counsel on cases relating to the stream at Ebley and the exchange of land read. Consideration to be given at next committee meeting.

At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Friday the 3^rd Day of December 1841
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Sam^l Fisher, M^r R Hughes, M^r John Stanton, M^r Wyatt, M^r Jos^h Fisher, M^r Geo Wathen.
M^r Elisha Oldham (the Contractor for the erection of the Railway bridge over the Navigation at Stonehouse) having in part erected a temporary bridge over the Navigation there and having applied to this Committee to sanction the same, - Ordered that this Company do not interfere; but do regard the matter as under the regulations of the Railway Act in that respect; And that no objection to M^r Oldhams proceedings be formally made, until some inconvenience shall be sustained by this Company thereby; or until this Company shall see occasion for interfering in the matter.
Ordered that the arrangement as to the recovering the prossession of the Warehouse at Dudbridge be confined to _that_ point only, - and not to be satisfied by any offer of accommodation as to the Charges for warehousing.
Ordered that a Cape be provided for the Lockkeeper at the double lock to protect him from the weather in his duties.
The Case and opinion respecting the feeding of the Canal by the Stream at Ebley and the Rights of the Company in regard thereto, having been read:-
Ordered that the opinion be reconsidered at the next Committee meeting, with a view to determine the proceedings which might be take in respect thereto.
[Exchange of Land at the Junction]
The Case and opinion respecting the power of making an Exchange of Land with the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal C^o at the Junction; and the Right of this Navigation to the fee simple, or the full use, of the Substituted line of the Navigation there, having been read:-
Ordered that the further consideration thereof be also deferred to the next Committee.
Ordered that the following Bills be paid:
