At a Meeting of the Committee held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Friday the 25^th Day of February 1842
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Beard, M^r Jos Fisher, M^r Hughes, M^r R^d Martin, M^r Geo Wathen, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Hy Wyatt, M^r Holbrow, M^r Stanton, M^r Crome.
M^r John Holbrow in the Chair.
M^r Wathen reported that in consequence of the resolutions entered into at the last meeting he waited on Mess^rs Marling and informed them of the pruport of the resolution when M^r S S Marling undertook to consider of it and to communicate with him, but up to the present time M^r Wathen had not received any such communication.
Ordered that M^r Wathen be requested to ask them for their intentions prior to the next meeting of the Committee.
[Exchange of Land at the Junction]
The question of the proposed Exchange of Land between the Company and the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Comp^y having been again taken into Consideration -
Resolved that the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Company be rinformed by M^r Wathen that in consequence of an opinion from Counsel that this Company is not entitled to the sole Interest in the freehold of the diverted Line of the Navigation and of the addition made to the lower Level of the Navigation in order to raise the Heighth of the Water there this Company considers it inexpedient to effect the Exchange unless the fee simple above alluded to can be obtained.

A letter from the Committee of a benefit Society established at Framilode consisting chiefly of Watermen having been read wherein the Society asks for permission to use the Upper Loft of the Company's Warehouse at Framilode for their meetings and for that purpose to raise the Roof on being allow'd the required Timber and other materials -
Ordered that on consideration that the Society do the requisite work to the satisfaction of M^r Mason and agree to pay a Rent of Four pounds per Ann^m to commence from Lady day next the permission asked for be given and Timber and Materials to the value of Ten pounds be allow'd towards the work by this Company. - If the Society require a Lease M^r Mason is authorized to consent that in case the Tenancy is determined within Seven Years a proportions part of the expence to be incurred by the society be refunded.
Ordered that the following Bills be paid.
