Letter received re men from the army workmen's compensation insurance
I will meet with George Minett, I omitted to mention with his wages he has a house and garden rent and rates free
George Minett declines your offer. He would prefer a weekly payment to be made to him as he has no income
George Minett has been employed by the Company continuously except May and June last year when he was borrowed by T&S Canal and paid by them.
George Minett has been paid 15s 1d per week for 5 weeks, he has not returned to work yet
Due to recent death of Tidesman at Framilode I request Private Leonard Pockett (grandson of former Tidesman) be given the role as he has the local knowledge of the River and Tides needed. Labour in the area is scarce and a local barge Captain is assisting us

The cheque was for civilian hobblers not charged to your account. There is 12s due for civilian hobblers discharging Stanley at Bonds Mill.
