Summary

Notice of intended stoppage of canal for 8 days from 15 August for repair of Lodgemore Culvert sent to Ministry of Transport.
Clerk to see Mr Wright and Mr Dowdeswell re Coffin Weir gates.
Mr Hogg had taken warehouse at Dudbridge at £6 10s p.a.
Messrs Stewart and Lewis asked permission to erect a tent for meetings on wharf at Dudbridge. Granted subject to payment of 1s 6d per week rent.
Mr Beard’s application for a new kitchen grate at Eastington Wharf granted.
Mr Hopson’s estimate £7 7s 6d for outside painting of Wallbridge Office accepted.
Major William John Paley Marling, Sir Adrian William Maxwell Baillie and John Stanley Vincent Marling claimed share nos.164,168,169,170,174,176,179,188,194,195, will of Sir Charles Murray Marling.

[1933 July] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 26^th day of July 1933 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Stanley Marling, J R Morton Ball.
Only three Members being present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Lodgemore Culvert
The Clerk reported that a copy of the Notice issued of an intended stoppage of the Canal for eight days commencing the 15^th August next for the repair of Lodgemore Culvert, etc, had been sent to the Ministry of Transport.
Wycliffe College: Canal Bank
The College Secretary had paid £5..10.0 as agreed.
Thames & Severn Canal
The Chairman reported a letter he had sent to the County Council.
Coffin Weir - Gates
The Clerk was instructed to see both M^r Wight and M^r Dowdeswell and report to the Chairman.
Warehouse at Dudbridge
It was reported that M^r Hogg had taken the Warehouse @ £6..10..0 pa rent & had signed the Companys Agreement.
Dudbridge Wharf
A letter had been received from Messrs Stevens & Lewis asking for permission to erect a tent for holding Meetings on the Wharf at Dudbridge and it was resolved to grant the same subject to payment of 1/6 per week rent.
Eastington Wharf
The tenants, (M^r Beard), application for a new kitchen grate was granted. The Clerk to report M^r Hopson's estimate to the Chairman.
Wallbridge Office
M^r Hopson's estimate of £7..7..6 for outside painting etc was accepted.
William Ricard Bloxam of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Solicitor attended under a written authority from Major William John Paley Marling of Great Rissington Manor Bourton-on-the-Water in the County of Gloucester Sir Adrian William Maxwell Baillie Baronet of 45 Upper Grosvenor Street London W1 and John Stanley Vincent Marling of 2 Belgrave Place in the City of Westminster Executors of the Will of Sire Charles Murray Marling GCM, GCB late of 2 Belgrave Place in the City of Westminster deceased who died on the 16^th day of February 1933 and who at the time of his death held ten shares in the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation numbered respectively 164, 168, 169, 170, 174, 176, 179, 188, 194 and 195 now standing in the name of the said deceased in the Books of the said Company and made out their claim by producing the tickets or titles to the said ten shares and the Probate of the Will of the said Sir Charles Murray Marling the said Will bearing date the 5^th day of April 1928 with four Codicils bearing date respectively 21^st February 1930, 10^th April 1930, 1^st July 1930, 10^th February 1933 and proved by the said Executors
