Read letters from Mr Glynn and Mr Dadford asking if the Committee would them as surveyor.
Jos: Grazebrook reported that he had been to Compton to Mr Dadford in order to desire his attendance on the Committee this Day, that Mr Dadford's answer was that he was Oblige'd to attend on the Stourport Committee, but that he would be at Stroud on Wednesday the first of May.
Mr Dadford reported that hollow quoins in several of the locks are disjointed and must be better hewn and freshly laid with Barrow lime mortar from Leicestershire.
Ordered that if we have not an answer from Mr Dadford relating to Mr Clews by the 9th Instant, that Mr Smith be sent to Mr Dadford on Tuesday next to inquire what he has done in regard to him and when may expect him here; and also in regard to Thomas Edwards Brick maker at Stourport.
Benjamin Grazebrook to ask Mr Dadford to procure four hogsheads of Barrow lime and send up the first trows.
