You have a 2in pipe from the canal to your house. You must pay £2 10s per annum from today's date for the pipe to remain
Re Miss Clutterbuck, deceased shares are not quoted; but last sale took place in October 1921 @ £20
On Saturday last the lock keeper at Eastington reports that you were washing sheep in the canal near the Skew Bridge near Stonehouse. The charge for this is £12. Please submit to this office
I understand from the press that at a meeting of canal interests in Birmingham an association has been formed. If there is any report please send a copy for our Committee.

Hoopers say November would be a good time to cast the bridge as their mills will be stopped as they put in new machinery. This would suit the Canal Company
We are not in a position to pass your barge free of tolls
On Friday evening one of your motor cars passed over the Swing Bridge at Saul. Bridge is only for ordinary traffic of district at time of construction. You traffic cannot be allowed. You will be liable for any damage or injury sustained

Preliminary inspection shows that when swung both ends of the bridge will be well above the road level at both ends. What steps are you taking to remedy this? Re ballasting, the contract states that our Company is only to supply the planks.

Committee cannot see its way to accepting your proposals for Pike Bridge, Eastington. In addition to interfering with canal works and property it will not reduce the danger

Re letter of 12th on Accident, Bristol Road Lock, water could be run off sufficiently by closing stop gates at Junction without risk of injury to aqueduct. Cost of dam could not be part of any claim for damages if only serves to preserve water supply to your canal
Canal will be closed about 6 weeks. Will be open before then if can possibly be done
It will be necessary for you to raise you sluices on the River Frome at Whitminster to keep that river as low as possible while the pound is empty to relieve pressure on aqueduct

Re taking your heavy Motor Bus over Saul Bridge, it was not constructed for such traffic so you cannot use it
As you have taken no steps to remedy the mistake in the level of the bridge, the Company have made some temporary repairs using wood. Committee ask you to pay £3 towards the cost of this work.
Accepting offer of inserting dam before aqueduct at cost of £50. Please press on with work at once

I expect you have now arranged matters at weirs and cut trench at Coffin Weir. Suggest you lower water in Westfield Pound, using water from levels above when mud boats with the gates need to come through

At Committee Meeting on 25th Jan it was decided that no dividend would be paid for the half year ending the 31st Dec due to the state of the trade and the heavy anticipated expenses
