it is proposed to make them all 70 Feet long and 15 Feet wide in the Cham- ber, and as to their Depth, or rather Fall, the three upper Locks are to be five Feet two Inches Fall each, the rest between Ebiey-Mill and Mr. Cambridge’s, about nine Feet Fall each at an Average; and the Depth of the Lock at Framiload will be 19 Feet.

Whereas an Act was made in the Third Year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second, intituled, An Act for making navigable the River Stroudwater, in the County of Gloucester, from the River Severn, at or near Framiload, to Wallbridge, near the Town of Stroud, in the same County: And whereas by the said Act certain Persons therein named, their Heirs, or Assigns, or Nominees, were authorised and impowered, at their proper Costs and Charges, to make the said River, called Stroudwater, navigable and passable for Boats, Barges, Lighters, and other Vessels, from the River Severn, at or near Framiload aforesaid, to Wallbridge, near the Town of Stroud aforesaid, and from Time to Time to continue, maintains, and use such Navigation in such Manner as they should think fit; and, for the better effecting the Premises, Commissioners were, by the said Act, nominated to determine Differences between the Undertakes and other Persons concerned; but no Proceedings were had towards making the said Navigation: And whereas an Act was made in the Thirty-second Year of the Reign of this said late Majesty, to amend and explain the said former Act, whereby other Persons therein named, their Heirs, Assigns, or Nominees, were impowered to make and maintain the said Navigation, in Manner and by the Ways and Means therein mentioned: And whereas by the said Act it was provided, that, in case the said Undertakers should not finish their said Undertaking one or before the Twenty-ninth Day of September, One thousand seven hundred and sixty-one, or within such further Time as the Commissioners should think proper to allow for finishing the same, the Powers, Authorities, Rights, Privileges, and Advantages, by the said Act granted to and vested in them, should cease and determine; B. Grazebrook to write to Richard Owen Cambridge to inform him the millard at his mill makes a charge upon every vessel that passes up his millpond, of which we understand, he is unaware.
The committee appointed Mr Thomas White and Benjamin Grazebrook inspectors and Mr John Cambridge and Joseph Grazebrook scrutineers for the present elections.
Clerk to write to R. Owen Cambridge to inform him that the millpond shall be deepened as soon as there is a scarcity of water.

Our Clerk Reported that he hath applied to the several Owners of Land in Pool Field, in consequence of which he has Rece'd a Letter from Mr Cambridge expressing his approbation of the intended Drain and thanking the Committee for taking the same into consideration; the other Proprietors (except Mr Stock) agree with Mr Cambridge, and no answer is Yet Rece'd from Mr Stock on the Subject.

Mr Organ attended the meeting on behalf of Richard Owen Cambridge and reported a leak from the canal at Whitminster which has damaged a meadow and Mr Cambridge expected the damage to be settled and likewise to have the rien ditch opened into the canal.

Messrs Bigland, Baylis, Allaway, Grazebrook and Clerk to take view of Mr Cambridge's damages.
Messrs Baylis and Grazebrook had met Mr Organ on Mr Cambridge's land and, on condition that the flood gates at Whitminster Mill are drawn at all flood times by the tenant occupying the mill, fixed with Mr Organ on behalf of Mr Cambridge, that the rien ditch, called Thatcher's Ditch, may run into canal for one year by way of trial, Company making a catch pool to receive the mud.
Mr Phillomore had come to no agreement with Mr King respecting Mr Cambridge's land.
