Our Clerk has waited on Messrs Lane & Jepson in regard to the Conveyance of Mr Reddall's Land; they have promised to do the needful in regard to it.
The Conveyances not Received from Mr Reddall; Mr Ellis is desired to wait on Messrs Lane and Jepson, to inquire if they have sent the Deeds to him, and if they have any answer from him.

Ordered that our Clerk do write to Mr Dudley Baxter informing him the Company have a Small Bitt of Land to dispose of adjoining to his Estate, and to know whether he would wish to purchase the same, and also to desire Mr Baxter will furnish Mr Lane with an Abstract of his Title in order that the Conveyance may be drawn of the Land he has sold to the Company.
Mr Lane to be asked for copy of agreement with Mr Halliday Phillips in order that they may be prepared to defend the action commenced by Mr Phillips.
Our Clerk Reported that he has furnished Messrs Lane & Jepson with the particulars of Mr Baxters Land, and likewise with a Copy of the agreement with Mr Phillips.
Ordered that our Clerk do waite on Messrs Lane & Jepson tomorrow morning to Consult with them the necessary Steps to be taken previous to the Tryal with Mr Phillips.

Read a letter from Mr Baxter informing us that he doth agree to accept half the price of the oak tree - our clerk is to inform Messrs Lane and Jepson that the high price at which we purchased the land of Mr Baxter’s will not admit of any extra charge for the tree.
Our Clerk Reported that he has wrote to Messrs Lane & Jepson relative to Mr Baxters Oak Tree, but has not rece'd any answer.
Rece'd a Lettr from Messrs Lane & Jepson informing us that Mr Baxter gives up the Charge for the Oak Tree, but expects to have the Interest (for the money due) Calculated to Xmas last; Ordd that our Clerk do inform them that we agree to pay the same and that the whole Business be immediately settled.
Rece'd a Letter from Messrs Lane & Jepson informing us that Mr Baxters Business shall be settled as soon as Possible; and likewise informing us that our Expence in Mr Phillips cause amounts to £61:19:6 and the Tax'd Costs which Mr Phillips is to pay is 51:10.
Ordered that in case Mr Keck do Neglec or refuse to Repair the said Lock, that the Committee do then apply to Messrs Lane and Jepson to desire them to inform him that he will be sued for Damages if the same is not speedily Repaired.
Ordered that our Clerk do desire Messrs Lane & Jepson (if they do not here further by the 1st of May) to proceed against Mr Holliday Phillips for payment of the Tax'd Costs in the late Tryal; and likewise against Mr Daniel Ballard for payment of the Sum of £66:13.

General Meeting Messrs Lane and Jepson be engaged to commence an action against Mr Anthony Keck for non-performance in building the Double Lock.
Received the Deed of Conveyance for Mr Phillips Land from Messrs Lane & Jepson.
Messrs Land & Jepson to be instructed to write to William King at Wheatenhurst to inform him that action will be taken if he does not make immediate satisfaction for the stone he has taken.
Ordered that Mr Lane be desired to apply to Mr Chance again for an Abstract of the Title Deeds, in Order that a Conveyance may be mad of the Land sold to the Company, and to inform Mr Chance that in Case he do not produce the same in one Month that the Interest will cease.
Ordered that our Clerk do desire Messrs Lane & Jepson to write to Mr Wm King to desire he will imediately settle with the Company for the Stone he hath taken without our Consent or that he will be proceeded against without further ceremony.
Ordered that Mr Bigland be desired to waite on Messrs Lane & Jepson to request them to make application to Mr Knight to settle for the Land belonging to the Company or deliver up the same.
Rece'd a Letter from Mr Bigland, informing us that nothing has been done relative to Mr Knights Business, owing to Mr Jepson being from home; but our Clerk hath this day waited on Mr Lane on the Business, and Mr Lane advised to have the state of the Case drawn up and sent to him, and that Mr Jepson will waite on Mr Knight the begining of next week.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath sent the state of the Case respecting Mr Knights Business to Messrs Lane & Jepson, in consequence of which Mr Jepson hath waited on Mr Knight, but nothing decisive being done, it was thought necessary to make him a Tender of £50 for his Land & Damages which is not accepted.
Reced a Letter from Messrs Lane & Jepson informing us that Mr Stock objects to allow the expenses incurred on M James's Business.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on Mr Lane respecting Mr James's Business; and Mr Jepson being from home nothing was done.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath applied to Messrs Lane & Jepson, and a Day was fix'd for settling Mr James's Business, but Mr James being Ill, prevented its being done, therefore it was postponed to a future Day.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to Messrs Lane & Jepson informing them that the Meeting is very much dissatisfied at their not settling the Business respecting the Corporation Land, likewise at their not sending in their Account, and desire they will immediately do it.
Ordered that Messrs Lane & Jepson be desired to proceed against John Mosley the Younger of Cainscross for Fishing in the Canal.
Mr Jennings attended on behalf --of his Nephew-- Mr John Mossley, to beg the Committee to put a stop to the proceedings going on against him for fishing in the Canal, he having made Concessions and agree'd to pay the expence incurr'd and likewise half a Guinea to the Person who made the information; Ordered that the proceedings be stoped, and that our Clerk do write ot Messrs Lane & Jepson for that purpose.

Messrs Lane and Jepson to inform the Rev Mr Yate of our opportunity to give him equal quantity of adjoining land in exchange for land taken from Fretherne Glebe.
Our Clerk Reported that he has received from Messrs Lane & Jepson the Deed of Conveyance from Mr White to the Company; & Mr White has promised to meet him on the Land some Day this Week to execute the same & receive the money.
Our Clerk Reported that he has waited upon Messrs Lane & Jepson and by their direction has given Mr Gardiner an answer, in consequence of which Mr Gardiner attended but nothing was done, owing to his not allowing a Rent for the surplus Land occupied by Mr Knight & the Taxes thereof, nor an Interest for the Ballance due from Mr Knight to the Company.
